New Year

Life at so many occasions give us choices to make, a road that splits in two parts each driving us to a different destination. Sometimes we choose knowingly where we are to departure while other times we follow blindfolded whatever we find right at that exact moment.

Everywhere we settle we find two faces of life, some having the privilege to a better life than others.But that doesn’t come with a medal to declare ourselves above anyone else.

Whatever privileges we have and not, we always have the wealth to make someone’s life better even if we have nothing but a piece of cloth covering our body. 

A simple word of kindness, an encouragement, a smile, an ear to listen, a hand to lift, and a voice to tell the truth can have more value than a piece of paper we call money. 

As we are celebrating a new year and a start of a new beginning, eagerly waiting and anticipating exciting adventures, opportunities to seek, making check lists and new looks.

There are others whose years pass by like looking into a mirror with an image that doesn’t change over the years as if time is still and powerless. They are gripping on to this life with their little finger with the strongest grip ever known to mankind just to survive the chaos in their minds, hearts and lives. 

Some of the most vicious battlefields aren’t held in a war zone, they are within ourselves with ourselves.

We might not have the power to change the image in the mirror but we can remind each other of the light we are born with, it can get neglected but never dim even in our darkest moments.

 To the light that never dims may we be able to see it through the greyest clouds life carries upon us.
